I have been a Network Engineer for 36 years.When I started working with Novell Networks back in 1986, there were no industry standards and no certifications. It was something of an undocumented "Black Art" which very few people were into. Competition was all but non-existent and hourly rates were at Utopian highs never seen since.In 1988, I became a Certified Network Engineer (CNE) with Novell. That was a no-brainer.In 1995, I received my Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) status.Subsequently, I have been certified and authorized by CISCO, Intel, IBM and Hewlett-Packard.I am an out-sourced IT guy for companies that require experience but have too few computer systems to warrant full-time MIS departments.My goal is to continue to support networks that are in the 5 to 25 computer size range requiring outsourced IT.Specialties: Local and Wide-Area Networking.Integration of Fileservers, Workstations, Printers and other peripherals.Wired, Wireless or Remote connections.Service contracts, on-site and remote support.
