Lan is Partner of FocalPoint Consulting Group with 20 years of experience in financial management and analysis and improving the way government agencies and private companies operate.She has wide-ranging expertise in re-engineering business and government operations to improve service, quality and efficiency. She specializes in analyzing and assessing program operations and developing solutions to help clients enhance organizational effectiveness, minimize costs and achieve improved results.Lan has led FocalPoint’s efforts to support the U.S. Treasury Executive Office for Asset Forfeiture accomplish its mission to dismantle and disrupt criminal organizations through strategic use of asset forfeiture, as well as streamline its management of billions of seized and forfeited assets to maximize the return to the Treasury Forfeiture Fund. She managed FocalPoint’s development of a more efficient and effective system for processing grant applications to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from thousands of health care professionals responding to a government call to meet the nation’s most critical health care shortages in underserved areas. Through the system that Lan developed, FocalPoint was able to process a 50 percent increase in applications at no additional cost to taxpayers.Before co-founding FocalPoint in 2002, Lan was Director of Investments for PSINet, Inc. with responsibility for high tech investments in Europe, the Middle East and Africa; Manager of Business Development and Analysis at Cable & Wireless, a global telecommunications company; and a Financial Analyst on the International and Domestic Oils equity research team at PaineWebber, Inc.Lan holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
