Current

Uppsala, Uppsala County, Sweden

At AirForestry, we are reinventing forestry using high-capacity, heavy-lift electric drones. By developing our own 6m in diameter drone, we will be able to do maintenance from the air - replacing 15 ton ground vehicles that hurt the environment and the forest grounds.

Aug 2021 - Present

Doctoral Student

Stockholm, Stockholm County, Sweden

I did my PhD at the division of Decision and Control Systems. My research interests have been mainly on the topics of model predictive control, cooperative control, autonomous systems, and aerospace applications. In particular, I have researched efficient algorithms for generating safe rendezvous trajectories during autonomous landings. The thesis, titled "Model Predictive Control for Cooperative Rendezvous of Autonomous Unmanned Vehicles", was successfully defended on June 8th 2021. The thesis opponent was Professor Jonathan How (MIT). In the thesis committee was Dr. Johanna Axehill (Saab), Professor Jan Swevers (KU Leuven), and Professor Tor Arne Johansen (NTNU).The thesis is available here: http://urn.kb.se/resolve?urn=urn:nbn:se:kth:diva-294416

Research Intern

Nasa Ames Research Center

I had a four-month-long internship in the Division of Aeromechanics, which works mainly with rotorcraft technologies. There, I worked on design analysis of both traditional and experimental tiltrotor helicopters, using the division's own aeromechanics analysis tool. My work included tasks such as: - Stability and control analysis of tiltrotor designs for evaluation of the fidelity of an aircraft system analysis tool - Conceptual design analysis of an experimental rotorcraft configuration for a Silicon Valley startup company

Master Thesis Student

Munich, Tyskland

Worked with cooperative controllers for landing of a fixed-wing UAV on top of a ground vehicle. Work included control design and evaluation as well as participation in flight experiments and flight data analysis. The work was done in the Flying Robots group at the Robotics and Mechatronics Center at DLR Oberpfaffenhofen.

Undergraduate Research Fellow

Pasadena, California

Work with state detection and control of aircraft electric power systems. This includes implementing state detection under limited sensing conditions to a physical testbed and making a model of and simulating the testbed in Ptolemy II. We have also looked into the problem of sensor placement, researching how different sensor placements affects the performance of the state detection.
