Fuel control replacement, adjustment, and rigging (Low Idle, High Idle, Dead band, Max Reverse). Ignitor testing and replacement, magnetic chip detector testing, fire loop inspection and testing, engine vibration isolator replacement, truss inspection, fuel purge canister borescope, compressor section borescope, environmental system compressor replacement.• Aircraft Turn and Taxi, engine run-ups and system operations to include; rudder boost, auto feather, auto ignition, governing, feathering, start limitations, low and high idle, dead band, flight idle torque match, engine performance, pressurization, auto pilot, ELT, firewall shut-off operations and associated checks/verifications.

UH-60 "A" Model to "L" Conversion (Recapitalization) program modification technician. • Structural overhaul of aircraft including major section removal and replacement (top deck, lower tub, floor, and nose). • Crash and salvage repair, often repairing structures with impact damage, hard landings, roll overs, and battle damage. • Common removal and replacement of main frame primary structure such as beams and bulkheads. • Structural overhaul including; stringers, longerons, formers, frames, intercostals, gussets, tracks, skin, decks, and nacelle repair and replacement. • Work with forms of aircraft grade metals to include aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium. Repair cracks, oil canned skins, gouges, small arms damage, and general sheet metal repair. Install structural supports for tail rotor drive shafts with close tolerances (attached in fixtures) • Composite overhaul of aircraft secondary structure (nacelles and fairings) comprised of fiberglass, kevlar, and carbon fiber using vacuum bagging and heat application. Repair of nacelle structures with punctures, delaminations, voided bonds, bond separations, and cracks. • Repairs include step and scarf joints, scab repairs, and metal to metal bonds. Removal and replacement of damaged honeycomb core (Nomex and metal), De-skinning and re-skinning of components heavily voided and damaged. Hand forming of custom molds to create new parts. Wet and dry lay ups using pre-pregs, epoxy resins, micro-balloons, adhesives, breather cloth, bleeder cloth, porous film, peel ply and other composite materials. Experience using Wichitech dual zone hot bonders and autoclaves.

Common hand tools and special calibrated tools used such as torque wrenches, micrometers, tire inflator kits, dial indicators, feeler gauges, hammers, wrenches, sockets, ratchets, spanners, punches, etc.
