My path into tech wasn’t typical, and that’s exactly what drives me to create opportunities for others who, like me, don’t fit the “normal” mold. Growing up in Houston, Texas, as the first engineer in my family, I didn’t have a roadmap to follow—so I built one. At just 22, I stepped into a leadership role at one of the world’s most influential companies. Along the way, I’ve challenged stereotypes, shattered expectations, and made it my mission to ensure others can do the same. My mission is simple: break barriers and create opportunities. Through my career and mentorship work, I’ve helped 100+ students land internships, jobs, and dream roles across all industries. I’m passionate about guiding underrepresented students, helping them navigate challenges, and showing them that success is attainable. A few career highlights I’m proud of: 💼 Becoming an Engineering Program Manager at Apple by 22: 🚀 Contributing to transformative technologies at companies like Tesla and SpaceX, reshaping the future of transportation and space exploration 🏆 Mentoring students through NSBE, Student Career Studio, and Candoor: Supporting over 100+ students in landing internships, first jobs, and dream roles by providing career guidance and actionable advice. 📚 Hosting interactive workshops for aspiring engineers: Delivering impactful sessions on resumes, interviews, networking, and building confidence to empower young professionals from underrepresented backgrounds. 🏋🏿 Transforming my health and confidence: Overcoming challenges like anxiety, homesickness, and imposter syndrome, I lost over 40 lbs and gained resilience by committing to my fitness journey.
