During my assignment at the ING headquarter in Amsterdam, I supported in developing our global ESG strategy for private individuals. This included the creation of a sustainable lending & investment reporting methodology, as to focus on products with the greatest leverage for a positive impact on the environment. Next to this, I managed country-initiatives around improving the financial wellbeing of our customers (social sustainability), from a global & strategic point of view.

After 1 year at ING Germany, I was entrusted with leading a project around the enhancement of our Investment App. While aiming to bring innovative and relevant new app features to our customers, I managed different stakeholders from Business & IT to UX Design, assessed risks, controlled budget, created a project roadmap and gave status reports & presentations to a member of the board.

During this 1-year program, I was able to gain insights into the retail banking business of the digital finance world and agile way of working. ♣ For my first rotation, I joined the brokerage team from a product strategy point of view, optimizing the customer journey for our traders through market research and a new pricing model. ♣ My second rotation led me to support the strategy for savings products, including leading a project-workstream for the introduction of negative rates. ♣ In my third and final rotation I joined the strategy & business development team, where I engaged in FinTech research and applied the PACE methodology from problem to solution fit (combining Design Thinking, Lean Startup and Agile), aiming to enhance our understanding of customer behavior.Finally, I participated in a voluntary initiative on empowering women to invest, ranging from customer research, to FinTech engagement and development of a strategic deck.
