Served as a graduate research assistant to Dr. Geoffrey Maruyama. Conducted community-based research with local organizations and communities on social-emotional development, standards-based grading, and food-insecurity. Served as a graduate research assistant and Project Coordinator on Dr. Geoffrey Maruyama's and Dr. Andrew Furco's $2.8 million First in the World grant, funded through the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE). This grant aims to improve college retention of underrepresented students through meaningful community engagement and service learning experiences. Dr. Lynne Borden's Military REACH Lab collaborates closely with the United States Department of Defense’s Office of Family Policy, and supports military families through both research and outreach. Responsibilities include:-Co-author modules and topic papers for practitioners describing best practices in positive youth development-Co-author literature reviews and research reports for the Department of Defense-Assist with grant writing for three Department of Defense Education Activity request for proposals-Author multiple "Putting Research to Work" series
