Desenvolvi uma pesquisa sobre ecohidrologia* do Cerrado. Executei um mapeamento sistemático de todos os estudos sobre o tema no bioma para identificar as lacunas no conhecimento teórico. Também apliquei modelagem hidrológica para avaliar o papel de áreas protegidas na dinâmica hídrica de duas bacias antropizadas, uma com extensa cobertura agrícola e outra com extensa cobertura urbana. Essas atividades resultaram em uma dissertação de dois capítulos que foi aprovada sem alterações pela banca examinadora. Dois membros da banca examinadora, inclusive, manifestaram intenção de usar o documento como material didático em suas disciplinas de graduação na Universidade de Brasília. Dessa forma, o trabalho poderá contribuir não apenas para o fortalecimento da base de conhecimento sobre o tema como também para a formação de novos estudantes da mesma instituição que me formou.*Ecohidrologia é uma área de estudo inter-disciplinar que aborda as relações entre os sistemas ecológicos e a hidrologia.

I carried out a scientific initiation project on soil hydrological processes in native areas and in recovery with sewage sludge in the Cerrado biome. The project was part of the scope of a long-term project of my supervisor, but it was conceived by me, motivated by the lack of data on the hydrology of the areas. Depending on the theme, we formed a partnership with another professor who was very interested in the project. I fulfilled all the stages of conducting research, from submitting a project for evaluation by a commission, through field data collection, data analysis, writing a manuscript, and, finally, presenting the main results at a conference of scientific research.

Laboratory of Ecosystems Ecology – Biology InstituteThe internship activities were part of a master's project by a graduate student at the Laboratory. The objective of this work was to evaluate the priority areas for recovery in the Cerrado biome. My activities were mainly data collection in the field, preparation of material for field use, presentation, and discussion of scientific articles.

I took on an ongoing scientific initiation project on the interaction of caterpillars of the lepdoptera group (butterflies and moths) with the native Cerrado shrub species, Myconia albicans. The activities involved several phases of the development of a research, such as data collection in the field, statistical analysis and data visualization, writing a manuscript and, finally, presenting the main results at the scientific initiation congress.

Laboratory of Fire Ecology – Biology InstituteThe internship activities were part of a doctoral project of a graduate student at the Laboratory. The objective of this work was to evaluate the population dynamics of different species of allien grass in native Cerrado vegetation. My activities were mainly the collection of biological material in the field, data collection and analysis, presentation and discussion of scientific articles.
