• I am a biologist with a Master's degree in Ecology. Since my undergraduate studies, I have participated in five research projects on varied topics, including my graduate degree project. These experiences have provided me with skills in data collection (both in the field and through online databases), data analysis using R, hydrological modeling with a globally used tool (SWAT), mapping using QGIS software, systematic literature reviews, technical reports, among other skills. • Additionally, I served on the organizing committee of two scientific events that included collaborators from several national and even international institutions. On these occasions, I worked closely with a team and was able to appreciate the value of effective collective work, as reflected in the positive feedback from participants.• After completing my Master's degree, I was invited to continue the project I had developed on the ecology-hydrology interface of the Brazilian Savannas. Hence, I had the opportunity to refine the hydrological modeling methodology I had applied and publish the programming routines I had developed in an online repository (GitHub) to assist researchers and students using the same methodology.• I volunteer with the Brazilian chapter of the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN), an international network associated with the Convention on Biological Diversity whose main goal is to prevent global biodiversity loss. My main role is science communication, creating scientific content for the GYBN Brazil Instagram. Occasionally, I also apply my scientific background to the organization's advocacy activities.• Once, I saw myself in the words of Baba Dioum: "In the end, we will conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught." In my restlessness regarding the environmental challenges of our time, I became captivated by science as a tool for transformation. Executei um mapeamento sistemático de todos os estudos sobre o tema no bioma para identificar as lacunas no conhecimento teórico. Também apliquei modelagem hidrológica para avaliar o papel de áreas protegidas na dinâmica hídrica de duas bacias antropizadas, uma com extensa cobertura agrícola e outra com extensa cobertura urbana. Essas atividades resultaram em uma dissertação de dois capítulos que foi aprovada sem alterações pela banca examinadora. Dois membros da banca examinadora, inclusive, manifestaram intenção de usar o documento como material didático em suas disciplinas de graduação na Universidade de Brasília. Dessa forma, o trabalho poderá contribuir não apenas para o fortalecimento da base de conhecimento sobre o tema como também para a formação de novos estudantes da mesma instituição que me formou.*Ecohidrologia é uma área de estudo inter-disciplinar que aborda as relações entre os sistemas ecológicos e a hidrologia.

The project was part of the scope of a long-term project of my supervisor, but it was conceived by me, motivated by the lack of data on the hydrology of the areas. Depending on the theme, we formed a partnership with another professor who was very interested in the project. I fulfilled all the stages of conducting research, from submitting a project for evaluation by a commission, through field data collection, data analysis, writing a manuscript, and, finally, presenting the main results at a conference of scientific research.
