Chemists' Community Fund Project Development Specialist
Fixed term contract, working on the expansion and development of the Chemists' Community Fund, the Royal Society of Chemistry's Benevolent Fund. Projects have included:- Working with local networks to introduce a series of wellbeing workshops. Initially I researched potential themes and providers, before presenting stakeholders with a proposal. The events are aimed at helping RSC members to become aware of their own understanding and resilience, as well as giving them the tools to recognise and assist others who may be struggling. The workshops have resonated well within the community and have yielded feedback such as “Really useful and engaging session, have learned so much and want to inform everyone about this and spread the word!” Due to the success of the wellbeing events, further sessions have been organised assisting with 'Planning for Your Retirement.' These popular sessions enable attendees to consider both the holistic and financial aspects within their own future. I have led on the event management, as well as the marketing of all events to date (approximately 20 in a 14 month period). - Compiling an annual Marketing and Communications plan, outlining the objectives that the Fund would like to achieve over the coming months and the mechanisms needed to achieve these. Alongside this work I have worked on a number of projects to enable reliable and efficient methods of collecting and recording data. This will then feed into the statistics of the Fund, which can be used to assist with marketing the breath and depth of the Fund's services, as well as the social impact our grants can have. After writing the initial plan I have worked on strategic objectives, looking at long term campaigns and deliverables. - Launching partnerships with Autism UK, Cruse Bereavement Care and Citizens Advice Manchester. These services were introduced after a benchmarking exercises against similar organisations, as well as feedback from RSC members.
