For over 11 years, I have been serving as the Chief Legal Officer and EVP of Public Affairs for Randstad Canada. As a fluently bilingual C-suite legal executive and ICD.D and GCB.D (ESG) designated board member, my 25-year legal career has spanned several industries and jurisdictions including: professional services, staffing/recruiting, digital solutions, financial institutions, public broadcasting & media, Crown corporations and government (federal & provincial). As a trusted advisor with global experience, I seek to drive growth and innovation while protecting the business by anticipating and evaluating risks and potential liabilities and developing innovative and practical solutions. As the recent recipient of the 2024 General Counsel Award issued by the Women's Law Association of Ontario, the 2023 Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 for WXN (Women's Executive Network) in the c-suite executive category and the 2022 Canada Law Award finalist for Female Trailblazer of the Year, I am passionate about promoting purpose-driven work, corporate social responsibility and continuing my long-standing commitment to ESG and ED&I.DIRECTOR EXPERIENCE: I currently serve as President and Chair of the board of Women General Counsel Canada. I am an active member of the CD Howe Institute and sit on its Human Capital Council. My previous board experience includes: chair of the Randstad Charity Foundation; board member of the Side Launch Brewery, governance advisor to the Board for Club de Jeunessdes Lac Inc and former Chair of the HR Committee and board member of Boost Youth & Child Advocacy Centre. LEGAL EXPERIENCE: Before serving as Chief Legal Officer & EVP Public Affairs at Randstad Canada, I was in-house counsel, with expertise in overseeing HR governance, data privacy, compliance, and risk management programs. After graduating from McGill University with both common law and civil law degrees, I started my career as a constitutional litigator with the Department of Justice. I obtained my BAH (psychology and health) magna cum laude from Queens University.
