Published in NYT, The Atlantic, Vice News, San Francisco Chronicle, The Progressive, NPR, Refinery29, Green Peace, Al Jazeera English, Syria Deeply, the Institute for Middle East Understanding, and a variety of other news organizations, newspapers, and websites. Co-founder of Refugee Eye, a nonprofit organization that supports refugee artists and journalists in visual storytelling. Immigrated to the U.S. in 2016 from Gaza. Dedicated to social justice, human rights, and climate change storytelling. She holds a BA in Faculty of Communication Sciences and Languages from Gaza University.Lara tends to embrace the human perspective through visual storytelling, her work mainly explores the social and political narratives especially for marginalized communities.
