Hi I'm Lara! Pronounced La-rah - not LAIR-uh, not Laura. Lah-ra.For the last five years I've worked as a solopreneur. For the first two and half years I worked for myself running a Virtual Assistance business, which morphed into an Online Business Management operation. I learned a lot and got to work with a lot of awesome companies. I eventually started another business as a doula (Birth Into Community), and worked both companies for about a year before going full time as a postpartum and birth doula. Alas, I became lonely and I got burnt out. My businesses were all very successful, but they were very much solo/on your own type business operation. I really enjoy and thrive working with teams, especially when there is in-person interaction. So in May 2023, I began my journey back into the corporate world and couldn't be happier. I am working at Tolmar, a pharmaceutical R&D, manufacturing and sales company. Tolmar is really amazing to their employees, has a wonderful company culture, and is a company I am looking to grow with.I am still very passionate about helping expecting families and families in the postpartum period thrive. Therefore, I am still highly active in the Northern Colorado doula community and will continue to serve in a doula mentor capacity along with my board position at the Northern Colorado Doula Association (NCDA).
