The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is the state agency that provides workforce development and unemployment services to employers and job seekers in Texas. As an attorney at TWC, I support the agency's mission by handling various legal matters related to labor and employment law, administrative law, and civil rights law. I have been working at TWC for over three years, and I have a Master's degree in Dispute Resolution and a JD degree from Southern Methodist University.My core competencies include legal writing, research, analysis, and communication. I draft, review, and present clear, persuasive, and accurate legal documents and arguments for appeals, hearings, investigations, and compliance issues. I also have expertise in dispute resolution and mediation, which I use to facilitate constructive and respectful dialogue among parties and stakeholders, and to seek fair and satisfactory outcomes for all involved. Additionally, I draw on my background in criminology and indigent criminal defense to understand the social and economic factors that affect the clients and communities I serve, and to advocate for their rights and interests.
