Responsible for building and leading BSR's Climate and Nature team globally, and driving BSR's work on those issues across consulting, grants, and collaborative initiatives. Lead strategy development, issue integration, and performance oversight across programmatic areas on issues related to resiliency and adaptation, business within planetary boundaries, climate justice and just transition, climate scenario analysis, Scope 3 implementation, climate disclosures, nature assessments, nature strategy and road-mapping, SBTN target setting, and TNFD implementation.

Host of the web series and podcast Nature IS, supported by the Better Worlds platform. Launched in January 2024, we focus on the critical roles of nature-based solutions, conservation, biodiversity, regeneration, and re-imagining how we relate to the natural world. The multi-platform initiative is produced in partnership with the Nature Tech Collective and Biomimicry 3.8.

Support efforts to establish EQX Biome’s role in mobilizing financial markets to protect the world’s remaining biodiversity hotspots. With a focus on large-scale global conservation efforts, EQX Biome is creating a trusted market for biodiversity-carbon credits and nature-based investments.

Established Sonder’s global Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability function. As a tech enabled hospitality company, implemented policies to engrain responsible business practices across the company pre to post IPO.• Completed Sonder’s first GHG emissions inventory (Scopes 1-3) and developed a decarbonization roadmap. Responsible for ESG disclosures – UK (SECR), EU (CRSD) and US (SEC). Adopted SASB sustainability reporting framework. • Committed to eliminate all single-use plastic amenity items in guest units across our global portfolio in 2022, equating to 1.6 million single-use plastic amenity items (6,700kg) annually in North America alone.• Instituted an internationally aligned supplier code of conduct for approximately 100 suppliers and approved a Modern Slavery Act Statement. • Identified targets for energy, waste, water reduction and built environment efficiencies.• Managed Sonder’s first CSR public-private partnership with Lyft & Off-Their-Plate to donate meals to healthcare professionals and rides to restaurant workers.

As an international sustainability and responsible business consultancy, served as an advisor to Brodie’s corporate clients in industries ranging from hospitality to food & beverage, technology, travel, and agriculture. • Developed ESG strategies for early stage / pre-IPO companies. • Helped to align corporate brand purpose with sustainability. • Supported corporate goal setting, implementation of climate targets, supply chain best practices and impact advisory councils.• Facilitated materiality assessments, sustainability reporting and related communications.

• Provide guidance to B-Corp start-up Eqogo as the team drives conscious consumerism through the development of a scoring algorithm that enables consumers to understand the social and environmental impact of products through supply chain transparency.

Led Hewlett-Packard Enterprise's (HPE) global sustainability team. Developed a strategy to integrate corporate responsibility into the enterprise product and services business after Hewlett-Packard split operations in two. • Liaised with internal government affairs, marketing, communications, supply chain, and legal stakeholders to set ambitious renewable energy, product use efficiency, operations, and supply chain targets. • Directed the development of strategic programs, external stakeholder engagement with inter-governmental organizations, public-private alliances, and the annual Living Progress Sustainability Report. • Managed benchmarking of ratings and rankings (DJSI / CDP), targets, and goal setting to ensure leading industry standards. • As Deputy Executive Director, managed the HPE Foundation and employee engagement initiatives, i.e., HPE Gives and Kiva Matter to a Million partnership. • Led the industry with an ambitious Science Based Target. Set GHG emission targets for HPE operations and set industry-first supply chain goals to build supplier capabilities while improving industry standards. • Oversaw HPE joining RE100, a coalition of the world’s most influential companies who are targeting 100% renewable energy.• Aligned strategy with the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, mapping them to targets and HPE’s materiality assessment. • Recognized for action on human rights as recipient of the Stop Slavery Award from the Thompson Reuters Foundation.• Set goal to improve the lives of 1 million people by 2020 through the Living Progress Challenge. Enlisted HPE technology to address pressing global challenges, from helping rural women gain access to financial tools to working with WWF to combat illegal fisheries trade. Won ISPIM grand prize.

Managed strategic initiatives driving external engagement of Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Unite Foundation. • Liaised with key partners to develop business frameworks for robust corporate climate commitments i.e., The World Economic Forum, B Team, We Mean Business, Rocky Mountain Institute, Carbon War Room, and The Elders. • Collaborated to advance the climate change and sustainable development initiatives during New York Climate Week, COP21 (Paris 2015) and the WEF Annual Meeting (Davos 2016).• Worked across all Virgin businesses to set ambitious net zero emission targets.

Established new Global Policy Affairs function across energy, climate, forestry, cities, water, agriculture, and sustainable lifestyle work streams. • Developed an organizational strategy for external engagement, and to raise awareness of private sector sustainability initiatives. • Collaborated with member companies to advance the ‘business case.’ Leveraged global platforms to scale business-led sustainability initiatives.• Cultivated public-private partnerships with external stakeholders: The World Bank (alignment on Carbon Pricing), UN Secretary General’s office (CEO contributions to the UN Climate Summit), UNFCCC (business engagement), World Economic Forum (Davos Annual Meeting) and policymakers in Peru (COP20), France (COP21) and Turkey (COP12 /G20).• Led and managed partnership interface with the New Climate Economy, a global commission led by former President Calderon to communicate the economic benefits of acting on climate change. • Formulated WBCSD outreach strategy as the main focal point with We Mean Business.

• Adviser to E15 Initiative, a multi-stakeholder expert group that made recommendations on climate change and the multilateral trading system. Contributed to the Center’s thought leadership through publications and speaking engagements.

After serving as Associate Director of North America, ran the Forum’s strategic initiatives, specifically providing private sector-led recommendations to the G20 on climate change and sustainable development objectives. • Established links to intergovernmental processes by liaising with G20 chairing governments (France / Mexico), senior representatives of Forum partners and members (Fortune 500 companies) to ensure business integration with the G20 agenda. • Delivered concrete recommendations from B20 task forces that aligned hosting government interests with local business industry associations and global CEOs. Recognition in final G20 Communiqué. • Managed end-to-end implementation of the Forum’s Working Group on Trade and Climate Change, providing recommendations to WTO on the incorporation of environmental provisions into trade texts. White paper released at COP16 in Cancun.

• Managed relationships with US Government officials and related program development for the Forum’s regional summits in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the Annual Meeting in Davos.

• Formulated policy recommendations to improve effectiveness of Special and Differential Treatment trade provisions in Least Developed Countries. Advised coordinated use of existing mechanisms to target country needs. Researched feasibility of integrating developing countries into the multilateral trading system. Liaised with Aid-for-Trade and Integrated Framework divisions to build capacities of less advantaged WTO Member countries.

• Examined the effects of the US-Morocco Free Trade Agreement on Morocco’s developing economy. Presented findings at Thirteenth Annual Symposium on Maghreb Studies, and to business leaders in Washington DC.

• Advised clients on trade policy legislation in the US Congress, specifically Free Trade Agreements and Bilateral Investment Treaties.

• Served as liaison to Senate Finance Committee, following key tax and trade policy issues for the Majority Leader. Assisted in setting the legislative agenda, worked with staff to establish policy priorities for the Democratic caucus. Major legislative initiatives included International Corporate Tax bill and Free Trade Agreements with Australia and Morocco.

• Representing the Trade Subcommittee, collaborated with government agencies and foreign officials in negotiating the Central American Free Trade Agreement. Led bipartisan international tax working group to evaluate current US system of international taxation. Made recommendations for reform and development of a WTO compliant replacement tax regime for the FSC / ETI repeal.
