Responsibilities:Train and mentor other technical staff in the district with the network and other major troubleshooting issues. Responsibilities:Coordinates the primary IT support, setup and configuration for the district’s WAN infrastructure.Provides the primary support for the district’s Cisco WAN infrastructure - including coordinating operating system (IOS) upgrades, monitoring performance and network traffic across the WAN, providing daily/weekly/monthly Quality of Service (QoS) reports for WAN links, and coordinating high level, outsourced support as needed.Manages the installation, maintenance, and configuration of the district’s network firewalls.Serves as the primary contact with the district’s Internet Service Provider (ISP)Coordinates outside Domain Name Service (DNS) mappings for internal network devices with the district’s ISP.Provides the primary installation, maintenance, backup and support for the district’s email and Internet services - including coordinating upgrades, writing RAD applications, monitoring performance, analyzing logs, creating accounts and other objects needed to maintain our intranet community, creating user web page templates, reduce spam, and coordinating high level, outsourced support as needed.Manages the installation, maintenance, and configuration of the district’s hardware appliance to provide spam blocking, antivirus and content filtering for inbound and outbound email.Serves as a technical resource for the district’s web architect and MIS support team and provides back up support to other MIS project team staff as needed.Monitors the administrative, technical and instructional telecommunication operations at each site through periodic visits.Analyzes production operations to isolate problems and makes corrective actions as appropriate.Provides initial training and ongoing support for MIS technician staff and site-based Technology Specialists

Provides backup technical support for the site technicians and coordinates outsourced technical support as needed.Follows established procedures for processing IT support requests, documents in-progress and completed work, and closes support tickets within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Attends district, state, and local conferences and workshops relating to assigned project areas.Analyzes production operations to isolate problems and makes corrective actions as appropriate.
