I received an Honours BA in Architectural Design, Painting, and Urban Studies from the University of Toronto, as well as a Master of Architecture degree also from the University of Toronto. Since 2012, I have been actively engaged in architectural design, painting, and sculpture, which explore topics in environmental psychology – the scientific study of the transactions and interrelationships between people’s minds and their spatial surroundings. My work is driven by the idea of changing human behaviour in curated and lived spaces. I use colour, visceral intricacy, ornament, pattern, and texture to curate my works.During my current role at Studio JCI, I have added value to various mid-rise and high-rise residential projects, from the stages of feasibility studies to design development. I also lead the marketing department at Studio JCI. My excellent communication and graphic skills have brought the firms business development area to the next level through methods of standardizing fee proposals and project presentations.Prior to joining JCI, I worked with Allied Engineering in Pakistan, where I explored the designing of institutional forms including universities and hospitals. I also worked with the City of Toronto planning department, where my research and work focused on the progression of Laneway housing in the city. Apart from design experience, I also has extensive experience teaching architecture and design. I have taught courses ranging from architectural design, history, theory, structures, and building systems.
