As the former Product Lead for Security at Stripe, I led the design, development, and implementation of security-focused products and experiences. My focus was on providing data privacy, transparency, consent, and control while maintaining user trust. I empowered Stripe users by providing them control over their data and privacy.Collaborating with cross-functional teams, I created both short- and long-term plans and aligned our technical decisions with Stripe’s broad strategic initiatives. I acted as an advocate for privacy-centric design choices and mentored individual contributors and managers, helping them become the next generation of leaders. As the first product person in Security, I brought the function and integrated disciplines and practices to infuse our work with a User-First mindset and a strong business lens. Some of my highlights include:- Crafting the product strategy, designing and shipping Security’s first user-facing product, which produces an annual savings of $283M by automating Data Subject Rights’ Requests.- Designing and shipping a new cookie banner across nine sites in less than 60 days, with a better UX while complying with new French regulations. The estimated cost savings are more than $115M.- Shipping a Privacy Platform for internal Stripes to mitigate a 4% global turnover fine for data privacy regulations.- Interviewing over 90 users in 25 different countries to understand, synthesize and share their perspectives on trust, safety, and privacy. My experience at Stripe allowed me to hone my expertise in privacy, authentication, and access management. I'm proud to have contributed to Stripe's mission of providing economic infrastructure for the internet and to have brought a user-centric approach to the company's security products.
