    I received a generous severance package when I was impacted in a WFR during the VMware / Broadcom acquisition so I have been fortunate to be able to selectively focus my search on moving back to Channels and Partnerships as well as take care of a couple foot surgeries and chiropractic issues that I simply did not have time to attend to while working full time. My father-in-law also passed away and I have been helping my husband and mother-in-law.Due to the way the pandemic changed the nature of the AE role, I decided to narrow my career focus to Partnership, Channel, and Alliance roles. While I am interviewing selectively, I have largely been focusing on volunteering at PAWS Chicago in several capacities including: Community Ambassador, Corporate Group host, walking and dog photography, and fostering 5 dogs. I also volunteer for women's causes. I have also been preparing for my long-term plans of living abroad and teaching English as a second language. These plans will require me to be able to speak more than "vacation" Spanish, so I am also working on becoming conversational and ultimately fluent. I spent a month living in Mexico and have taken 4 additional learning trips there.
