Juvenile Counselors work with multiple professional program specialties in partnership with the juvenile, family, and the community to enhance community safety, hold youth accountable, support efforts to repair harm, and reconnect the youth to the community in ways that reduce recidivism and support the youth's success:-Provide case management adherent to Functional Family Probation Services (FFPS) and Juvenile Services Division policies and protocols. -Coordinate and collaborate with other community providers working with young female and Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC). -Serve as a point of contact and liaison as Subject Matter Expert (SME) between Juvenile Services Division and the community providers.

- Equip troubled youth with life skills for success through mentoring and counseling- Maintain safety and order of units, diffuse problems in the unit- Provide behavior observation and assessment of youth- Prepare reports, and verbal or written evaluations of detainees for counselors

- Determine client eligibility by assessing disability- Determine services needed with client collaboration- Complete case notes, vocational assessments, and individualized plans for employment

Portland, Oregon Area

- Conduct analysis of the family situation- Formulate an achievable safety plan- Carry out Home Visits in accordance with Child Welfare Policies- Document strategic information for appropriate authorities- Coordinate and recommend useful services for clients- Ensure client progress and adherence to safety plan- Communicate effectively with clients (Bilingual: fluent in Spanish)
