I work as part of team focusing on providing excellent customer service to our clients as they embark on a life-changing trip with ME to WE. As Client Experience Coordinators, we coordinate the logistics of our clients' trips from the start to the end. We deliver with high accuracy and quality to ensure our guests' experiences are beyond expectations. As one of the senior coordinators, I soon trained fellow coworkers in my portfolio and created standardized operating process documents to help. Through my time here, I have taken the initiative to be part of different programs to expand my skill set and take on different professional development opportunities. I volunteered to be on our 24/7 emergency risk phone and support our risk management team for trips on the ground. While on call I was the point person for everyone that was on the ground with us and supported them if they were in need of help. I also got selected to be part of the Peter Koppel Academy which gives a team an opportunity to create and pitch a business plan to our executives and heads to implement to our trips division. My cohort worked to pitch to eliminate single-use plastics in our Minga Lodge in Ecuador. This meant we worked closely with the Ecuador team to do our research and create our business proposals. I then also joined the sustainability committee to learn about business and environmental sustainability in our company and companies alike and be part of the projects. My time at WE has given me the opportunity to enhance the following skills;- customer service skills- project management skills- organizational and coordination skills- proposal writing and budgeting - training - risk management

As medical assistants, our goal is to save time for the physicians that work in the clinics throughout the GTA so that they can spend more time with the patients. Tasks and responsibilities for medical assistants include (but are not limited to) administrative/clerical , clinic management, triage and patient care. Additionally, as a senior medical assistant staff, I have pursued further training in our programs to take on running different programs such as allergy testing and foot care and trained/evaluated newer staff members. I was also given the chance to join medical conferences and seminars to learn more of the medical issues that are impacting our society. This was an amazing professional development opportunity and got to speak and interact with various physicians from different fields. This helped me with my day-to-day when helping patients and triage more efficiently. Attendant services is a program that runs across Carleton University and Algonquin College residence with the aim of providing personal care to students with physical disabilities that reside on the campuses 24/7. Fall Orientation is a week long event for new university students to orientate them to our university and community. I worked with two other coordinators to organize, plan and manage Fall Orientation. Specifically, my position focused on all the administrative aspects of the event (attending board meetings, reviewing contracts, writing up drafts and proposals, answering questions etc.) and managing over 700 volunteers.
