Was involuntarily ordered to active duty service in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II and attached to the 847th Personnel Services Battalion. I was assigned to the Aerial Port of Debarkation/Embarkation (APOD/E) as the Battle Captain Assistant and assisted with the daily operations of the APOD/E. Provided quality and efficiency to the deployment/redeployment of over 150,000 military/civilian personnel by Maintaining inbound/outbound flight update reports, Monitoring transportation of personnel to and from Kuwait City International Airport, and updating the Combat Operations Intelligence Center calendar and schedules. Efficiently tracked the status of over 1,000 critically wounded military and civilian personnel while serving as a member of the Casualty liaison team supporting the 332nd Combat Area Support Hospital. Additionally supported Air force and Navy medical personnel by collecting data and creating medical records as needed. Was also the sole Mortuary Affairs Liaison and diligently processed, tracked and reported over 500 deceased military, civilian, and coalition personnel. Received two Army Achievement Certificates, and Army Commendation Medal, and was nominated to represent the 847th Personnel services Battalion during the “Soldier of the year” board.
