Started back in April 2003 in Generali, as an underwriter for Property & Financial/ Special Lines (CIT, CIS, Fidelity etc) lines. Having studied in the field of Mechanical Engineering, I was attracted by the Risk Engineering that gave me the opportunity to work as a Senior Underwriter in the "Engineering Division" (2006) being responsible for Construction, Energy, RES & heavy Industrial Risks. I left Generali in 2011 having underwritten more than 25,000 projects or risks @ a very high acceptance ratio that brought a tenfold overall premium income within that period.Same year I joined Matrix (now Howden), as Head of Global Property. Energy, Engineering & PV FAC Lines.In 2017 I decided to accept the challenge of setting up a new venture, together with 4 colleagues, friends and experienced broking professionals. APlus was a new boutique broking firm that genuinely aimed to produce sophisticated global solutions and bring a new era in the local & adjacent markets, in close cooperation with high-end globally reputable Insurance & Broking partners & with the honor to represent AXIS in the wider region and in the field of Renewable Energy. After almost 4 years of successful development and growth, as well as earning a leading position in the RES & FI sectors in the Greek market, we (APlus Shareholders) accepted the honorable acquisition offer from Howden and became a part of one of the biggest Broking Firms and Leader in the global insurance market. Having successfully closed this professional circle and already searching for new challenges, I was honored by AXIS proposition to take up the role of Risk Analyst / Renewables and Representative of the Company in Greece & SEE, which I instantly accepted, being ready to contribute to Company's strategy in the Region and fundamental aim, a constant stream of high-end services across all aspects related to RES to be established.
