I am a Sr. R&D Engineer working with tribology at Afton Chemical to understand and develop lubricant and fuel additives. I am also currently a dual PhD candidate at University of Leeds and Universidade de Coimbra for the GreenTRIBOS consortium under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement. My project involves Green PVD/CVD Surface Engineering for Tribology and is directly supported by Hauzer Techno Coating.Previously I worked for three years in the Design Engineering Department at Howden South America mainly with fan contracts. My work involved the structural design, including via Finite Element Analysis.I have completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Escola Politécnica of Universidade de São Paulo, where I have also achieved my Masters of Science at the Surface Phenomena Laboratory (LFS). The theme of my Master’s thesis was fatigue failure of mechanical components.I accomplished my graduation thesis at Newcastle University (UK) wherein a test bench to assess the galling properties of alloys was designed and validated. Besides the one-year studies in the United Kingdom, I also studied at Aalto University (Finland) for one semester. I am fluent in English (IELTS certificate).I am an avid learner, always striving for excellence. I am ethically dependable and can easily work in teams, with leadership nature. I am always on the look out for an opportunity to aggregate invaluable knowledge to my own experience, as well as to contribute to the development of the institution in benefit of society.
