About Larissa Maxwell, Mba, Clc, Phd(S)

I’m attracted to courageous, innovative work that has the power to transform communities, cities, and countries. From corporate settings to Indigenous organizations, justice reform to the United Nations, I focus on initiatives that move the needle to protect ecosystems, eliminate human suffering and build equitable leadership, and create enduring systemic change.I founded and lead the Maxwell Consulting Group. We build responsible, accountable, and purpose driven organizations and leaders across sectors through ESG consulting, leadership coaching, training, and storytelling design. We have a knack for understanding and engaging behavioural insights that give projects a competitive edge and elegant design, and believe in business with a soul. My areas of interest and expertise include ESG corporate strategy, ethical storytelling, power stewardship, impact of land use, shared value business structures, circular economies, leadership development, trauma informed practice, impact investing, gender equity, addressing unethical supply chain and human trafficking, justice equity, lived experience inclusion, participatory action research, Indigenous reconciliation, financial and employment inclusion, preventing human rights violations, and migratory labour. I am currently completing an interdisciplinary PhD at UBC on "From Communities to Corporations: Ethical Storytelling in First and Second Person Narratives."In my spare time, you'll find me volunteering as a Board member with the Canadian Centre to End Human Trafficking, and painting abstract work at www.larissamaxwell.com.
