• Main Activities:In 2012 EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) issued a new regulation involving, among other topics, probiotics. This new regulation obliged all EU countries to change all packaging and communications.
• Strategy: identify and evaluate new lines of communication in view of the new legal/regulatory environment. The process involved the Food Law department, the General Counsel of the Danone Group and the Global Marketing.
• Compliance: validation of all communications, in particular TV and Internet, as well as packaging and other communications in order to assess whether they were appropriate/compliant to the new regulations. A risk.
