• Serve as Director of the Undergraduate Deans Office responsible for programs and services that help undergraduate students thrive personally and academically.• Oversee the assessment and development of programs and services in the Academic Skills Center, First Year Student Enrichment Program (First Gen Program), King Scholars Program, and Case Management, while promoting Dean of the College priorities.• Provide coaching and support for 11 Undergraduate Deans, 3 Department Directors, and administrative staff. • Develop and enhance college policies, procedures, and practices for equitably and strategically assisting students.• Oversee leaves and returns, including medical, personal, as well as academic and conduct suspensions.• Provide institutional leadership, strategic and collaborative thinking to help shape student resources. • Assist with a multi-step expansion of first-generation student support, including development of a four-week summer academic immersion program. • Serve as a member of Senior Staff in Charge in systematically addressing institutional emergencies.• Dean of the College designee for involuntary medical withdrawal decisions and actions. • Certified in NaBITA’s Advanced Strategies for Behavioral Intervention.

The Assistant Dean supports the Associate Dean of the College for Student Academic Support Services in the management of all departmental programs and services. The Assistant Dean is responsible for implementing policies, procedures, programs and activities designed to support undergraduate students in the context of a highly selective liberal arts college environment. The Assistant Dean promotes students' intellectual and personal growth consistent with the mission of the college through daily advising sessions. The Assistant Dean takes a central role in aiding students experiencing heightened personal, medical and mental health matters and frequently collaborates with Safety & Security, Health Services, the Counseling Center, Case Management, and Student Accessibility Services to carefully coordinate student care. The Assistant Dean prepares students involved in major misconduct for appearance before the judicial hearing committee and supports students and parents with understanding judicial outcomes. The Assistant Dean provides on-call crisis response for campus emergencies and for faculty and students attending off-campus programs. Routinely administers academic policies including course withdrawals, medical withdrawals, resignations, reinstatements and incomplete agreements. The Assistant Dean serves on college committees charged with evaluating and identifying recommendations for moving the college mission forward and hiring campus colleagues to meet the needs of the Division of Student Affairs. The Assistant Dean serves as chair of planning committees or work teams tasked with delivering comprehensive programs, including case management coordination, faculty outreach/training, institutional diversity, equity, and access initiatives, orientation, the first-year experience, and data analysis and assessment of student academic trends.

- Managed auxiliary services, including the recruitment, training, supervision and evaluation of employees, amanuenses assistants, note-takers, exam readers and scribes.- Developed online systems, procedures, and chart flows for managing note-taking operations that streamlined student requests, faculty communications, and electronic access to class notes. - Communicated, consulted, and clarified departmental procedures and the Americans with Disabilities Act pertaining to classroom curriculum and college activities to ensure reasonable academic adjustments and services were provided to students with disabilities. - Conducted assessments of disability documentation, including psycho-educational and neuropsychological evaluations to determine (1) student eligibility for services and, when eligible, (2) the nature and extent of services to which a student is entitled. - Provided individualized advising to students with psychiatric, medical, physical and learning disabilities utilizing a student development and motivational interviewing framework.- Coordinated care for students with disabilities experiencing crisis by collaborating and communicating with the Undergraduate Deans, the Counseling Center, and family members when appropriate. - Supported students with disabilities considering personal or medical withdrawal, course incompletes, reduced course-loads, and college transfer. - Aided the College’s Case Management team with identifying students of concern, communicating relevant student information, and implementing action plans to proactively support students. - Served on the Campus Climate Committee, the Dean of the College Advisory Committee and LGBTQQIA Assistant Dean Search Committee.- Served as a liaison to student groups and recognized organizations that have a disability-related focus. - Conducted routine assessments of auxiliary services to inform changes and facilitate improvements.
