• Led a team of clinical and non-clinical staff in providing support to a network of six Ontario community hospital partners in order to build capacity closer to home, reduce variation across organizations and improve health outcomes for children through the implementation of pediatric best practices in Emergency Departments and Neonatal Intensive Care Units. • Developed and delivered a roadmap and budget for 2020-2021 strategic priorities, including scoping best practice guidelines, outcome measures, education offerings and all-partner forums.

• Advised and briefed the Premier and Chief of Staff on all health-related matters; ensured government priorities and commitments were acted upon and steered through the Cabinet approval process.• Worked directly with the Minister of Health and senior staff on all policy decisions and strategies, including the transformational health legislation that established Ontario Health and Ontario Health Teams. Collaborated on planning and rollout of all decisions with other departments and ministries as needed. • Vetted policies and managed the approval process for all health initiatives announced in the 2018 Fall Economic Statement and 2019 Ontario Budget.

• Established strategic and collaborative partnerships with think thanks and academic research branches to strengthen OREA’s policy development, increase its profile and establish the association as a thought leader. • Directly advised the CEO, Board and leadership on strategic policy positions for the association and developed extensively researched policy submissions for government that promoted OREA’s priorities.

• Developed and executed comprehensive province-wide consultation plans from concept to completion for all new company policies; ensured that a balanced stakeholder approach was achieved throughout the process.• Managed accountability relationship with the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services by providing timely and appropriate weekly briefings in advance of, or in response to, political issues, media attention and public concerns.• Developed media messaging, talking points, crisis communications and internal communications in response to provincial media attention. • Presented over 20 educational seminars and modules to stakeholder groups, including real estate agents and elected officials, to increase awareness of the company’s products and services.

• Managed and advised the Ontario PC Leader on policy portfolios including health care, transit and education. • Researched, analyzed and developed political policies from the grassroots to the final platform commitments.• Worked with senior executives and stakeholder organizations in both the public and private sector to discuss and negotiate complex policy decisions and trade-offs to effectively represent senior leadership.• Produced daily policy briefing materials for the Ontario PC Leader, senior directors and elected officials.• Wrote and assisted in drafting communications materials – speeches, news releases and policy backgrounders – designed to increase positive media coverage and voter engagement.
