The mission of the Queensland Renewable Fuels Association (QRFA) is to enhance and grow the renewable fuels industry in Queensland through engagement, collaboration and promotion of education, innovation and investment.The inclusive structure of the QRFA will serve to bring together government, businesses in the agriculture, research, education, processing and marketing sectors, and individuals who have an interest and belief in a successful biofuels industry in Queensland. Worked closely under Michelle Farquhar, project manager of the Future Sparks program that was funded by the Clean Energy Futures grant.Future Sparks was a project delivered to primary school to engage learning and creativity regarding clean energy and creating clean energy solutions. Assisted with writing content for the website, generated idea's and platforms for the audience while contacting, networking and promoting Future Sparks to the educational and environmental industries.Engaged by Nudgee State School, promoted the program to years 4-7, educating and sparking clean energy solutions.Worked with the project from start to a finished live website, was a vast amount of experience. Gained insight into the fundamentals of working in a large organisation such as preparing grants and budgets, liaising with stakeholders and committee members and providing weekly work outputs to my project manager was valuable.
