This coming semester I am teaching General Psychology and Introduction to Social Work online at City College San Francisco, and three sections of Introductory Psychology at Solano Community College (Vallejo, Main Campus, and Travis AFB). I am also the Director of Social Work at Atrium Hospice and a Training and Curriculum Developer at A Better Way, Inc.Previously, I was a Home Study Specialist at A Better Way, Inc., certifying new resource parents and conducting updates for existing homes. Prior to that, I was the Training Coordinator for Alameda County Court Appointed Special Advocates, providing evidence-based initial and continuing education to new and existing CASA volunteers in one of the largest dependency court systems in the country. My background is in direct service as well as systems level work, including: mission-driven consulting, child protection social work, supervising and certifying foster and adoptive parents in the US and England, and providing services to homeless and severely mentally ill populations. My strengths include evaluation, training diverse groups, individual coaching and support, interviewing, focus groups, key informant interviews, report composition, and client presentations.
