Every day as a SaaS PM is an opportunity to uncover meaningful customer value and collaborate with amazing people to turn it into a world-class software experience. After ten amazing years as a PM there's way too much to cover, but here are some highlights I am proud to share:* Working on a wide variety of products, including B2C mobile apps, enterprise systems used by internal teams and B2B web and mobile apps. I even had a brief flirtation with an on-prem installed app, it was wild!* Trail-blazing opportunities to Introduce brand new products to existing markets and bringing existing products to brand new markets. * Being trusted with revolutionary, business-changing projects. A recent example is the work done to overhaul Electric's hardware procurement operations, capped off by our appointment as an authorized Apple reseller. * Getting to work in every conceivable arrangement, including co-located teams (together in an office all the time if you can even imagine it!), hybrid teams, fully remote teams with US-based teammates and remote contractor teams with members across the globe. As I reflect on all of those experiences I'm flooded with all of those "moments" that remind me why I love my PM career so much. Here are a few that warm my heart:* All of the energy that gets created within the team during annual, quarterly and cycle planning.* Being a catalyst for the team as we iterate our way through incredibly complex challenges. The ingenuity and creativity that comes out of people is awe inspiring. * The intense focus that rises up when you put something in front of a user and it falls short of their expectations. Good... now we have a chance to make it better!* The beaming pride I can barely contain when a user tells me that what my team has delivered improved their day-to-day, their relationship with our business or their industry. * Having opportunities to mentor teammates that are new to the space and the accelerated wisdom I've received from thoughtful, patient mentors.* The feedback and coaching I've received from managers and peers that has shaped me and my career journey thus far.
