As the Director and then VP of Product, I led Zerve’s product planning and execution, acted as our consumer product manager, and was closely involved in PR, corp dev, and strategy. Backed by DFJ, NAV, and Jerry Yang, Zerve was a marketplace for consumers to find and book travel/leisure activities and a business management platform for small businesses.- Led Zerve’s product planning and execution, including roadmap development with executives, data-driven product and design planning, agile sprints, and product launches. - Made strategic roadmap decisions to balance investment in the consumer and merchant aspects of our two-sided marketplace business. - Coached product and design team to make more data- and hypothesis-driven decisions to maximize growth opportunities. Major product and feature work: - Drove growth of user generated content submissions via A/B testing: grew review rates 70% and photo rates 200%.- Launched a new content syndication business unit to enable ticket sales on merchant and partner sites using an iframe widget.- Managed all consumer products, including ecommerce flows, marketplace results pages, filtering interfaces, and user generated content submission flows. In addition to product, I managed other functions: - Head of Public Relations: Planned campaigns, interacted with journalists, prepped executives for interviews, managed social media presence. - Corp Dev / Business Development team member: Planned product integrations for commercial partnerships; strategized and prepared presentations for acquisition conversations.- Mentor: talked with junior team members about product management and career development goals.

As Zerve’s Senior Product Manager, I managed all of our consumer-facing products and led consumer roadmap development. My focus was on launching our consumer marketplace for people to find and book things to do.- Launched and grew new consumer marketplace for people to find and book travel/leisure activities in 32 metro areas, which we had raised our Series A funding in 2012 to build. - Advocated internally for investing in new, high-growth consumer business to disrupt stable B2B business.- Grew total booking requests by 60+% by releasing post-booking recommendations feature.- Increased mobile conversion rate by ~80% by mobile-optimizing product pages and purchase flow.- Developed filtering interface for consumers to find listings by detailed criteria such as location, date, and time. - Designed listing ranking algorithm and natural language search tool using AWS CloudSearch. - Implemented merchant onboarding flow and sales collateral for B2B outreach.

I spent several years developing the content and user interface of Zerve’s consumer marketplace for travel/leisure activities. As I developed expertise in the marketplace content, I became increasingly involved in product planning and transitioned into a product role. Product Management- Released beta version of consumer marketplace, including results listing pages, filtering options, product detail pages, and booking request forms.- Implemented granular location- and vertical-based filtering tools based on deep analysis of marketplace content.- Planned internal content management interface for large team to manage marketplace listing content.Content Management - Oversaw development of ~30,000 marketplace listings. - Managed team of up to 20 full-time and part-time staff to research marketplace listings and create content about them. - Developed process and quality management systems to ensure high-quality data about listings. Hiring - Served as final interviewer for Zerve’s large intern and analyst team and led case study-style interviews. Our internship program attracted students from the best schools in NYC and SF to help with customer service as well as analytical work.

- Quickly promoted from intern to analyst to managing our sales research process. - Analyzed TAM and developed market share projections. - Managed team of 5-10 people researching prospect business operations and potential revenue.
