I am a 4th generation farmer from central Missouri. As I have invested in the farm and worked with my dad I have learned to walk, talk, and speak Ag. My hard work and leadership experience have led to a passion for bridging the gap between agriculture industries and consumers. My love for keeping current with and sharing agriculture has come to fruition is several ways. In 2015, we completed the construction of a working and calving facility that I designed from the methods of Temple Grandin, who I later got to interview with. In February 2018, I attended the Young Farmers and Ranchers Conference at Tan-Tar-A, where I networked with other agriculturists. March of 2018 I was asked to speak at the Soil and Water Conservation Grassland’s Work Shop in St. Clements, Missouri. Early August 2018, I had the honor of speaking with governor, Mike Parsons, about the challenges Missouri Farmers are facing. Afterwards I was interviewed and aired on TV by KOMU of Columbia, Missouri. These combined with involvement in the Missouri Junior Cattleman’s, University of Missouri Animal Science Leadership Academy, and North West Agri-vison Precision Academy has formed valuable agricultural connections and public speaking experience. I am a knowledgeable agriculturist willing to talk to any farmer, college student, or grocery store shopper. I feel if paired with the right company I could further share the story of modern-day agriculture while empowering the people right next to me. I believe it is up to me, as one of the next generation, to step up and be involved in agriculture.Strengths: Problem Solving, Pleasant Attitude, Comfortable Communication, Decision Making, Firsthand Experience in Agriculture Email: ljsn2q@mail.missouri.edu
