I am passionate about youth leadership development and helping prepare young people for the challenges of tomorrow. My career path has gone through the newspaper world, athletic compliance and the nonprofit sector. The common thread in all of those positions is putting young people in the position to succeed and help others tell their story. Currently, I work with young people with system experience to improve policy in Nebraska and the national level. On the side, I write about sports for local newspapers, including the Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal Star. Currently, I cover the Nebraska volleyball team for the World-Herald.
