Of Workforce Development and the CA Dept of Labor.• Led company's compliance efforts for all Covid-19 related orders and guidance while acting as the sole legal representative on Uline's Business Continuity team throughout the Covid-19 crisis.• Drafted all of the company's current offer letters, non-competition agreements, relocation and retention agreements, codes of conduct, severance agreements and other HR policies.• Bore primary responsibility for drafting and editing our Employee Handbook in the US, Canada and Mexico, as well as state supplements for California and Washington.• Developed and executed training for employees in the areas of harassment, union organizing awareness, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.• Gained extensive experience advising our California operations on state-specific employment and wage/hour issues, Prop 65 and CAL/OSHA standards.

• Successfully argued contested motions, conducted pre-trial conferences, assisted as second chair at trials, attended depositions, conducted and won arbitration hearings, and managed all phases of litigation.• Prepared substantive legal memoranda, complaints, responses, motions for summary judgment, jury instructions, motions to strike affirmative defenses, and settlement agreements.• Researched legal issues in the areas of contract law, agency, Illinois civil procedure, family law, and real estate law.
