Leadership and Supervision of a crew of 27 very talented maintenance men with the daily activities and ongoing projects. Privileged to work for a company with great insight ,constant expansion and constant evolving projects. It was a pleasure to work along side a talented management team with proven management skills. Work consist of working with nitrogen freezers ,Abb Robot, Bosh case packers, AutoBake Ovens,.printers ,Depositors,Servo Drives,VFd's. Robotic lines. Leaving this employer was a difficult choice but at the request of a former colleaque from previuos employer (Riviana Foods) on 04-26-2019 I resign to pursue a carrier with Pepsico Bottling Company

•Responsible for supervision and leadership of a crew of Packaging Maintenance and crew of Instrumentation Electrical technicians in packaging and Process Facilities. Serving as the direct report and supervisor for multiple outside Electrical- Mechanical contractor's. Providing Scheduling and daily time keeping for facility support. Organizing labor scheduling time keeping and training. Daily routine for a facility covering over 27 acres was organizing and instructing instrument/electrical technicians, Packaging Techs. and contractors in their daily duties and ongoing Facility projects on 3 shifts. •Duties also included Providing all PLC and HMI Programming updates for new installation and modifications to older equipment, working along side all crews to provide daily diagnostic and troubleshooting and repair of automated and instrumentation in Multiple robotic Packaging and processing departments.•Coordinating with Senior & departmental staff for necessary facility shutdowns. •My management obligations included time keeping, maintenance scheduling, vacation scheduling and staff safety training, providing Tool box talks creating necessary Budgetary CER for multiple annual projects. •Compiled necessary LOCK TAG OUT documentation. showing floor layout, device locations for over 1000 motors and Motor Starters spanning over 27 acres and multiple buildings. Complying with current NFPA-70E, NEC, OSHA Government and local Codes. Compiled complete Facility Emergency Egress Lighting, Emergency exit signs documentation and information for current Code Compliance.•Implemented LED Lighting upgrades to increase illumination decrease energy consumption while reducing heat in the facility. •Main Objective is to always promote Safety through improvements and providing management with awareness. Upgrading, programming multiple Allen Bradley Control Logix, Compact Logix , SLC 500, Micro Logix processors, Automation Direct Productivity 3000 and Siemens Step 7 installing and programming C-More HMI Panels, Installation of remote RTU. Working with Allen Bradley’s' Panel View 1000,/ 600. RS View Me.Duties included daily operation of Burner Management system. Involved in implementing the use of RTU / Mobus/Ethernet IP /Remote I/O.Sharpening my skills with Allen Bradley, Indramat, Sew , Parker Hydraulics and Sure Servo Drives, more regularly involved in Indramat and Sew and Sure Servo servo drives.Founda new interest working with Automation Direct and their other family of products that work well together such as their GS2 drives (VFD's) and ViewMarq Message displays providing communication between the PLC and Drives and displays.One of my favorite accomplishments was working with Facility Central Helium leak Tester that was a maintenance problematic issue installing a C More HMI panel and providing programming replacing a obsolete Siemens OP35 HMI no longer supported and previous programmed from Europe in a languish their own. After many hours of research and the replacement of the current S5 processor to a Allen Bradley SLC 5/05 to support Ethernet communication to the new C-More panel using pictures taken by cell phone camera and embedded symbols from symbol factory library I was able to provide a HMI panel with enough information the operators were capable of performing their own repairs reducing maintenance calls by 75% increasing overall efficiency.Working 35% of the time as Multi Craft Maintenance Technician involved in typical electrical and mechanical equipment repairs providing preventative maintenance on weekends. It was a hard decision for me to resign from this position but with the encouragement and coaxing from the management team at Riviana Foods I returned to Riviana foods as their control Engineer/supervisor.

Increase production reducing downtime by the use of Wonderware, ControlView and RSView. Building animated graphics and alarm pages the operators and maintenance could easily understand , Creating Data Base Tags for Trending on the main server for troubleshooting this would become Riviana Foods pride and new standard. While employed I provided daily support of Computer / Fiber and PLC network - servers. Working as PLC/Automation Specialist in the Packaging&Process Department's. My duties included 24x7 support to packaging & Process Dept. Working with Electrical/Mechanical drawings I enrolled at Alvin College and completed courses in AutoCAD necessary for me to provide additional updates to projects and documentation. Providing needed Electrical prints needed for the IE Technicians and Packaging maintenance techs.to succeed in their daily task. Working with Boilers and Burner Management systems providing improvements to the electrical and process controls.My greatest achievement was improving packaging product transfer system that for years caused downtime increasing damaged products and waste and adding labor cost with research innovation and automation.. Protecting consumers improving tracking of the product ensuring the proper amount of ingredients added to safe guard against equipment malfunctions. Final end of production in Houston we transfered main packaging lines to the new Memphis Tennessee facility. Traveling weekly to support the relocation and provide necassary programming to Memphis packaging facility. After completion of the transfers and installation of Packaging lines to the new Riviana Foods Memphis facility. I returned to the Houston Facility To finalize the finale transfer of equipment to other Riviana facilities and Dispose of Documentation and files then closing the doors.At the end of June 2010 I was offered the position of the Electrical / Automation Supervisor in Memphis and the chance to relocate however I declined the offer.

St.Clair Missouri Title: Plant Engineer Employed 12 /2002 left 6/2004) Recruited to design and implement factory automation providing upgrades to existing Packaging machineryDesign of Explosive Gas level monitoring and alarming systems to ensure a safe LEL working environment and also to comply with EPA and local Fire protection requirements to keep the amount of Voc’s leaving the facility @ EPA approved levels.Favorite project was to build two Automatic De Palletizing units with attached automatic slip sheet dispenser and removal system project included providing mechanical design/electrical design total build from ordering materials to cutting materials, welding all construction ,painting ,wiring providing PLC and HMI programming needed for completion.Planned and implemented machinery alterations to ensure safety and improve operator ergonomics plus increase machine productivity and decrease downtime losses.
