As the Principal Consultant at Boese Consulting, I provide the following education consulting services: 1) FPM Success Services (TM) for California local education agencies (LEAs) scheduled for Federal Program Monitoring (FPM) reviews, including pre-review, leading-up to review, during-review, and post-review services or any combination of these four. Pre-review services include on-site FPM Workshops with LEA and school staff to helpp the LEA get a strong start with its review.2) ESSA and FPM TA Workshops - Day-long workshops for LEA and school administrators and staff who want a clearer and more complete comprehension of ESSA Title I, II, III and IV programs, funding, and legal requirements, especially for--but not limited to--LEAs that have upcoming FPM reviews.3) Navigating ESSA Workshops - Four day-long workshops on the following: a) ESSA Made Easy: A Comprehensive Overview of the Every Student Succeeds Act b) ESSA and the California Way: Convergence, Divergence, and the Path Between c) Under the ESSA Umbrella: An In-Depth Exploration of Changes to Title I, II, III & IV Programs d) What ESSA Means for You and Your Schools: New Requirements and Opportunities for Improving Student Outcomes

For the last several years I have provided exemplary support to California local education agencies (LEAs), including school districts and county offices of education (COEs), selected for Federal Program Monitoring (FPM) reviews of their compensatory education (CE) Title I programs as an Education Programs Consultant in the Title I Monitoring and Support Office. As part of this work, I provided day-long technical support (TA) workshops at COEs on Title I, Part A programs and legal requirements in relation to FPM CE reviews, including at Imperial County Office of Education, Orange County Department of Education, Sacramento County Office of Education, and San Diego County Office of Education.In addition, I have co-presented CE Training sessions at annual LEA FPM Trainings in southern and northern California for the last five years, and I have presented or co-presented the following workshop sessions at the last four California Title I Conferences hosted by the CDE: Preparing for a Successful FPM CE Review (with a LEA colleague) Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) Bootcamp (with CDE and LEA colleagues) The FPM CE Review as a Collegial Learning Process (with a LEA colleague) Understanding Title I Part A Fiscal Requirements
