Independent quality management consulting, specializing in small to medium sized firms in Ohio / Pennsylvania. Provides training, coaching for developing robust quality systems, as well as providing interim and part-time quality management functions.

Designed and deployed a web-based system to record and track in-process defects at a medical devices organization. Reviewed and approved engineering changes for new and revised products.

Executed special projects for the divisional quality manager. Developed training and customer presenta-tions, and designed databases and ISO 9000 programs. Conducted management seminars in assessment procedures, and led initiatives for developing long-range plans. Designed business process maps for combined engineering groups, identifying redundancies and gaps, and streamlining processes. Coordinated the management assessment of the Worldwide MOS Memory division, developing new methodologies and interpretive guides, conducting training seminars, and evaluating progress. Created customer presentation materials, as well as internal technical training materials for company-wide use. Furthermore, designed a database to collect, store, analyze and display quality and reliability data and generate monthly reports, increasing analysis capabilities.

Functioned as chief of staff for a group of 60 employees located in two sites. Handled human resources responsibilities, budgeting, long-range plans, and quality systems. Spearheaded the Houston site’s effort to become registered to ISO 9001. Developed the first division-wide specification and audit system for the company’s Semiconductor Group. Designed detailed training profiles for each employee job class. In addition, established new logistics for the division’s mid-term strategy process, and developed a new sealing tape imprinted with the warning information formerly contained on multiple labels.
