You must be able to read/edit or create electrical schematics.The job requires a working knowledge of computers, electronics, electrical and mechanical.Additionally knowledge of all applicable regulatory standards is a must, with the ability to research and identify any limitations/restrictions for products being used.I've been an voting member of the ABYC Project Technical Committee for approx. 15yrs. Production line repairman. We evaluated and repaired window heating and air conditioning units at various point throughout the production line. The job required electrical troubleshooting skills and a working knowledge of copper brazing. As repairmen we also must verify the coolant system is sealed and recharge as necessary.

35E Special Electronics RepairWe were responsible for troubleshooting and repair of "man portable" electronics for the battlefield.(night vision, IR, mine detectors, radios, etc.) additionally we were tasked with maintenance of searchlights and the PADs.(Position Azimuth Determining system, which is the original GPS that required a vehicle of its own to transport)
