I have been working in since 2001. I started out working as an EMT in rural Kansas and progressed my way up to paramedic (Mobile Intensive Care Technician in Kansas). I worked for Harper County, Kansas and Pratt County, Kansas. While in Kansas I also served as a city council member for the City of Harper, worked for Harper County Emergency Management as well as Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Harper, and worked as an adjunct paramedic instructor for Barton County Community College. In 2009 I moved to the Tulsa Metropolitan Statistical Area and began to work for the Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA). While with EMSA, I functioned as a street medic and a field training officer (FTO). In 2010 I started working on my bachelor degree while still working full-time for EMSA. In 2013, I changed to part-time status with EMSA and accepted a position as a flight medic with Air Methods in the Tulsa Life Flight program while also performing outreach education with the company. I obtained flight paramedic certification (FP-C) and completed my bachelor degree program in 2015. I have also obtained my EMS instructor certification in 2015 and began to teach as an adjunct in the fire and EMS program for Tulsa Community College. I have many NIMS certifications as well as instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS. I am a father of two active boys that mean the world to me. We enjoy fishing, hiking, bowling, and playing outside together.
