Managed, maintained and upgraded 80 node Win 2003 server/XP Microsoft based ABB DCS control system for 3 power generation units, including IIS and SQL servers. Desktop support on all control workstations. This application provided all power plant control screens (ASP.NET based ). Complete redesign of network infrastructure to facilitate more segmented control of each power system. Version control, security and upgrade path planning as these facilities prepare for NERC Cyber security compliance.

Managed all aspects of the quality system for this ISO 17025 Accredited Calibration and Maintenance Company, including highly successful external audits in March of 2005 & 2007. Supervised field engineers and managed work scheduling. Maintained in house computer network, servers and PCs. Responsible for all data security to include data backup strategy and implementation. Automated calibration certification forms to pull data from Access database, eliminating errors and saving processing time.

Managed the complete redesign and deployment of the Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure, comprising over 130 circuits, from straight frame relay to MPLS. Developed architectural documents including standards, design documents and strategy white papers/presentations. Interfaced with MCI and Verizon networking engineers, process and business managers in this nearly two year long process. Lead development of comprehensive Wide Area Network (WAN) and end user process monitoring/evaluation with Infovista. Managed Infovista servers and vendors for Infovista products and Evidant Newtest tools. Managed all WAN circuit upgrades and changes. Found over $80,000 in circuit cost savings by identifying misused bandwidth. Capacity planning for new offices and moves encompassing WAN and Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure requirements.

Contracted by Verizon to work at the Wellpoint account.Instrumental in the design of the Outlook 2000/Exchange roll out. Lead desktop team during the roll out of Outlook2000/Exchange in a 1,400-user corporate headquarters installation to ensure the project was implemented as Enterprise class with appropriate adherence to standards. Wrote and maintained project plans with defined roles and responsibilities, risk assessment, contingency plans and support models. Maintain and administer Complex 55+ Server installation of Novell and Windows NT/2000 Servers. Responsible for Veritas Backups, LAN Network infrastructure and support of Exchange 5.5.Tier 3 Support for complex user Desktop environment of Win95, 2000 and NT workstations.
