CurrentLarry Hashbarger is the Founder of AsiaSF, its Chairman and CEO, as well as its driving creative force. The man is a visionary; he dreams big and then makes it happen. It is his passion and imagination that is responsible for the creation of AsiaSF. In addition Mr. Hashbarger was the Director of Special Productions, Macy's, Inc. In that position he produced & directed large scale iconic events such as Macy's Passport–America’s premier fashion show and HIV/AIDS fundraiser. He also produced the annual San Francisco Junior League Fashion Show for 24 years and the Macy’s Flower Show & Christmas Tree. Previously, Mr. Hashbarger served on the Board of Directors of the Academy of Friends, a San Francisco based AIDS charity and was the organization’s Chairman for two years. Prior to AsiaSF, Mr. Hashbarger founded and operated Club Asia, a large late night gay Asian dance club in San Francisco that ran successfully for six years.In 2012 he was honored by Project Open Hand with the "Ruth Brinker Visionary Award" for embodying the spirit of Project Open Hand. He has been in the San Francisco night scene for two decades & in March of 2013 won a "NITEYS" award for AsiaSF as "Best Variety of Offerings", coinciding with the 15 year anniversary of AsiaSF. Mr. Hashbarger is an Executive Producer on the AsiaSF docu-series, Transcendent which premieres in the fall of 2015.
