Responsible for UPS replacement projects, the electrical scope associated with multiple vessel replacements, preliminary design for ESP explosion prevention system, for an SCR addition to the Calciner, and conversion of diesel-driven air compressors to electric units. • Ineos Carson 900kW 700V DC Melt Pump Drive Replacement Project, Developed Schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnects and loop drawings to replace failing DC drive with new replacement bought from France with little to no documentation.

• Chevron, El Segundo Refinery, Reconfigured existing 15kV feeder circuit breakers to function as starters for new 3500 hp motor drives for Isomax MK500A, MK600A pumps. Developed 3-Lines, Schematics, Door details, and wiring diagrams.• Chevron, El Segundo Refinery, Wrote procurement documents for a 14,600 hp 13.8 kV to 4.4 kV 6 phase AC Alki Pump motor drive replacement project.

MiningAnagold - Preliminary design of new 154 kV Substation for a 10,000 tpd Çöpler Sulfide expansion project for a heap leaching and gold mining development in Erzincan Province, Turkey. Project included preparation of single lines and specifications to Turkish and European codes and standards.

Crude oil pump stationsEnbridge Pipelines - Responsible for the electrical design of multiple pump stations. Projects included all aspects from the high voltage substations and medium and low voltage distribution through, lighting and safety systems. Many of the locations were remote and the environment was -50°C to +40°C. Some of the work was done in India, and Denver CO.

Industrial DesignResponsible for Electrical and/or I&C design for multiple factorys, and for many clients. Included gorilla glass, glass reinforcements, silicon crystal growing and processing, undersea fiber-optic cable manufacturing, light manufacturing, non-woven fabric, paper machine rebuilds, fiber board manufacturing, and electrical conservation surveys.Multiple semiconductor factories – Electrical and I&C design of new factories and retrofits to existing semiconductor fabs and test facilities. Designs included power distribution, lighting, as well as I&C, HPM monitoring, fire alarm systems, leak detection, access control, CCTV and radio communications systems.

Power Plant Design Mint Farm Energy Center – Lead I&C Engineer for completion of abandoned 320 MWatt combined cycle power plant. This was a very successful project which the owner bought for 10¢ on the dollar.Portland General Electric – Responsible for the design of the remote shutdown system for Trojan Nuclear Plant.Southern California Edison- Lead Start-Up Engineer for major retrofit projects for San Onofre Nuclear Unit 1. Design Engineer for complete revision to Annunciator system, and to control panel displays for CVCS and remote shutdown system for Units 2 and 3.Pacific Gas and Electric – I&C Engineer at Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant. Responsible for writing and executing surveillance and maintenance procedures for the nuclear instrumentation system and the solid state protection systems.
