I’ve spent over forty years in the construction industry with the experience being derived mainly from the many years in Fort McMurray, both in the community and at the Oilsand sites. I went from an apprentice carpenter contractor in the early eighties at Syncrude to a Syncrude Facilities Management Team Leader. I am one of five brothers in the construction field whom were taught the fundamentals of good work ethic, honesty, leadership and goal setting from our father. At 92 he is still very much a great mentor to us. After retiring from Syncrude in 2017, I joined Corgan Industrial Ltd as a Project Manager and shortly afterwards becoming their Operations Manager. In 2019, I became Corgan’s General Manager with the exciting task of re-structuring the company to align with the new challenges of that time. After assisting with Corgan’s new path forward, I decided to take on new but old endeavours in the Oilsands sector again where I am currently employed through Stream Source with Project Execution. In closing, my years in the construction sector has given me significant knowledge of the field, but the fundamentals of a good work ethic, loyalty, honesty and good leadership was a gift from a great man many years ago.
