As an Instructional Designer I support all technical and pedagogical processes that influence courses to ensure active learning, quality, and standards within face to face, blended, and online classes. I also provide support to faculty, staff, and students by recommending technology-based solutions that improve ongoing College operations, facilitate completion of projects, and support faculty in teaching and research.I am an integral part of the development process and ensure that all technical aspects are possible and managed properly, including consultation on computer equipment, audio-visual equipment, LMS, assessments, pedagogy, and other technical equipment. I also analyze, design, and develop techniques for the dissemination of information via the web, develop and provide training to a variety of constituencies on the utilization of technology in instructional design theories, research, best practices, and learning theories, consult on the acquisition and use of technological resources, and serve as a liaison in the universities information technology planning efforts.This position requires thorough knowledge in computer technology, software, applications, teaching methods, learning management systems, audio-visual communication, and other educational technology equipment. -Helps produce experiential learning events.-Develop faculty in technology trends that are centered around higher education.-Maintain a current understanding of pedagogical and technological trends within higher ed.-Assist faculty by consulting on the design of assessment, troubleshoot more complex teaching problems by gathering relevant information and find effective solutions. -Optimize use of university-supported educational technologies. -Customize workshops and faculty training for situational training.-Generate creative ideas for assignments, projects and classroom activities.
