-Lead team maintaining Global Research Server environment at all Global GEGR locations. Team supports Windows and Linux servers that maintain core network services, storage and backup environments, authentications systems and trusts with other GE businesses, monitoring servers, migrating and retiring obsolete resources, defining standard configurations and operating processes, maintaining fault tolerant clusters to increase service availability while meeting strict patching goals, participating on corporate initiatives as they relate to Global Research (CDI/CPA, SWSO, W2K, and E2K), designing Windows policies to automatically enforce required security and patching settings-Consult on several key business projects assisting in system design and integration with existing systems: Clean Room Toxic Gas Detection, D-Wing Gas Detection, Manufacturing Process Facility, IT Asset Management Project.Consult on several Research efforts assisting in system design and integration: Imaging Systems Archive implementation, LEAD Software distribution and deployment, ATW workstation configuration and optimization, GE Advanced Materials LIMS project, Biosciences Lab startup.-Designed and implemented protected networks for Data Acquisition equipment and computers. Effectively isolates GEGR lab equipment from IT patching and security efforts while meeting security requirements of GEGR. Mitigating risk associated with software upgrades, budgets and project timelines.-Designed new storage and backup models for GEGR Backup system. Models have been deployed in Niskayuna, Bangalore, Shanghai and Munich.
