In this position I oversee manufacturing and engineering personnel to ensure product meets the quality requirements for medical device applications as approved by the FDA. In collaboration with sales, marketing and logistics, I manage the day-to-day production schedule to ensure products are delivered to the customer. I maintain all of the inventory, manufacturing consumable, raw material, finished goods, tooling, etc. necessary to produce top quality medical devices (spinal implants). Specifically I:1. Ensure personnel safety as the top priority2. Lead the manufacturing team (operators and process engineers) in component production IAW our Quality Management System (SOP's, Inspection Guides, etc.)3. Actively manage raw materials, tooling, consumables, etc. with established Kanbans4. Lead the team in short-term and long-term continuous improvement projects to improve cycle time, yield and cost competitiveness.5. Participate in strategic planning, including an equipment and process road map.6. Team with suppliers for forecasting tooling and raw material needs to ensure on time delivery to SINTX to support our production plans.7. Mentor team members to facilitate and support their career development and continuous learning.
