Attracted numerous clients & talented engineers for various contracts – including medical devices (prosthetic knee, acoustic imaging device, ultrasonic surgery console / handpiece, Steam and pressure generating surgery consoles, consumer products (HDMI Adapters, Bluetooth, solar, LED, & mobile devices) & laboratory equipment (electronics development kit, & various sensors). Performed research & design work on each project. Developed proposals, project strategies, technical schedules, & project budgets for numerous development projects. Managed subcontracts for prototyping & manufacturing & daily tasking for a cross-disciplinary team comprised of electrical, software, & mechanical engineers.

*Designed, manufactured, & tested an electronic subsystem which controls an electro-mechanical scientific instrument that monitored pollution levels for air & water sources. This system is a microcontroller based system that is either autonomously or wirelessly controlled. It features a ground breaking miniaturized profile, battery operation & ultra low power consumption.*Development of requirements verification test procedures based on system specifications & conforming to MIL-STD vibration, temperature, altitude, & EMI requirements. Created laboratory SOP for safety & ESD standards. Development & management of numerous BOM(s) & inventory that interfaced with accounting software.*Developed the project budget, work breakdown structure, & technical schedule for a 4 year $14 million dollar R&D development effort. Assisted in writing technical proposals & dollar cost value tracking. Performed project schedule analysis using critical path analysis, resource loading, & monitored critical milestones. Reported written & verbal project status at design reviews (schedule, budget, design plan, test results, manufacturing, etc.). Conducted peer reviews of company design work & project status. Created & documented development procedures incorporating previous lessons learned. Recommended & implemented successful solutions for schedule & budget overruns. Assisted in hiring personnel when necessary to meet critical objectives. Managed companies design, manufacturing, & testing subcontracts.*Designed, manufactured & tested a portable automated industrial test platform. This platform included 3 phase AC & DC power generators, variable load drivers, various meters, data logger, PC interface, alarms, & safety mechanisms.Key Accomplishments: Reduced project cost by $600K, successfully conducted multiple development cycles from start to completion, contributed to expanding business, & personnel.

Collaborated & supported cancer therapy research using specialized light emissions. Lead engineer for a R&D project that developed a digital moisture meter for food applications. The meter utilized an embedded system with LCD display, RS232 communication, A/D converters, RC circuitry, thermocouple. The device interfaced with industrial machinery for & a PC (Microsoft Excel) for manufacturing process control & data storage. Developed project documentation including proposals, IP contract, system requirement specifications, & technical manuals. Key Accomplishments: Reduced project cost by $100K. Applied design improvements by determining semiconductor material surface characteristics. Operation & maintenance of HVPE, MOCVD, & MBE machinery which included electronic mass flow controllers, pneumatic valves, vacuum controllers, temperature sensor, pressure controllers, & user interfaces. Wrote SOP manuals for HVPE, MOCVD, & x-ray machines.Developed installation & operational procedure for a product used in marine vessel & fleets.
