Inspired by the work of Carl Linnaeus and Denis Diderot, the 5th anniversary exhibition of 36 exceptional chess sets and chess–related art from 16th c. to 20th c. was accompanied by the raw materials they were made from, natural specimens they were modeled after and artisans’ tools with which they were made. "Cage & Kaino: Pieces and Performances."Artifacts and ephemera from legendary 20th century composer/artist John Cage's 1968 "Reunion" event paired with related works by contemporary multi-media artist Glenn Kaino. A new live performance of Cage's "Reunion" and Kaino's "The Burning Boards" will accompany the exhibition. "Chess Masterpieces: Highlights From the Dr. George & Vivian Dean Collection."An exhibition of over 30 rare chess sets and related artifacts dating from 900 C.E. to the early 20th century spanning all cultures and tracing the invention, evolution, and spread of chess from its origins in India.

I collaborated on the initial gallery layouts for the 12,000 sq. ft. exhibition building, contributed to the permanent and changing exhibition design plans, and did content development.
