In charge of overall business set up and running in whole China area for this UK headquartered company。Responsibilities cover full functions of business, from Operations, Engineering, Sales/Marketing, Sourcing/Purchasing to Customer services, Human Resource etc. Over 3 years time span, set up 3 service factories in China (Tianjin, Zhuhai and Shenzhen) with nearly 300 employee and capacity/revenue increased by triple. Built up business relationships with most of major telecom/electronics manufacturers such as Flextronics, Jabil, Celestica, Motorola, Siemens/Nokia, Huawei, ZTE, TCL,Foxconn etc.. Also took the lead to sep-up Retronix’s service factory in Singapore(with 60+ employee there for service business) and be in charge of overall running and business development in south-east Asia(Singapore, Malaysia etc); experience also included re-alignment and restructuring the Tianjin and Singapore facilities. Successfully worked with local government to acquire the preferable tax status thus made huge tax saving for the company; Led the company to develop into new business segment—IC testing business for ICs distributors & brokers. Also after 5 years successful business in electronics industry, started up the company’s semiconductor business division in China and built up business relationships with major semicon wafer fabs eg Intel, Freescale, GSMC, SMIC, ASMC,HHNEC, Founders, Hejian(UMC) etc.. Retronix Ltd. is one of leading companies in providing technical services (troubleshooting, repairs and other services) in electronics and semiconductor industry. Customers include most of major telecom/electronics manufacturing companies (SMT/CEM/OEM, etc) and semiconductor wafer fabs. Responsible for the setting up and running of Wuxi Huade Polyurethane Products Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of automobile seats & parts, an joint-venture with the 7.5 millions USD investments by this HK based holding company. My role in this JV project started in very early stage from the importing of the production lines. Responsibilities included planning of the workshop lay-out, contacting and negotiating with Bayer AG for technical know-hows, working on raw materials purchasing schedule, developing the company’s market and business strategy and plan, taking business and training team to Germany and other countries. From August of 1994, also had taken the responsibility of sales/marketing/business development in East China and worked closely with China’s main auto technology institutions for technical project coordination so as to promote the product to the auto industry.
