Designed and developed the instrument from a research project from the U. of Texas to a micro-fluidic "turn-key" system. Design tools used included Zemax (Optical Design Software), and AutoCAD2000. Analysis tools include LabVIEW, IMAQ Vision Toolkit, and MS Excel. Developed the processes to make silicon v-groove array chips for the micro-fluidics device. Developed the thermal management system for temperature control of the silicon chips. Developed the "no free space" optical system to deliver the high power Nd:YAG laser light to the region of interest without the use of free space optics.
